Freedom 7-II - MA-10 - Unknown maker

It appears that this patch was produced as an expansion to the original Eagle One Aerospace Mercury patch series.

Mercury-Atlas 10 (MA-10) was a cancelled early manned space mission, which would have been the last flight in NASA's Mercury program. It was planned as a three-day extended mission, to launch in late 1963; the spacecraft, Freedom 7-II, would have been flown by Alan Shepard, a veteran of the suborbital Mercury-Redstone 3 mission in 1961. However, it was cancelled after the success of the one-day Mercury-Atlas 9 mission in May 1963, to allow NASA to focus its efforts on the more advanced two-man Gemini program.

Freedom 7 - MR-3 - 4" - Eagle One Aerospace

Eagle One Aerospace produced an exclusive set of Project Mercury crew patches in the early 90's. 5 sets were produced and mounted on a poster, another 25-50 were produced as an unmounted set. Each patch has the hallmark initials of their respective crewman. They faithfully render the capsule artwork and are often considered to be the proper mercury crew patch as opposed to the common, later souvenir patches from A-B Emblem and others.

Apollo 14 - 3" - Lion Brothers

I have never seen this particular line of Lion Brothers' Apollo emblems before. Marketed under their "Put-Ons" emblems line, Lion Brothers produced these Apollo 11Apollo 12, Apollo 13 and Apollo 14 patches. There may be others, but these are the only one's I have seen. Had these not been in their original packaging, they would probably have not been able to be associated with Lion Brothers.

Apollo 14 - 3 1/2" - Eagle One Emblem

While not the worst reproduction of an Apollo 14 patch, the vacuum-sealed back and modern stitching aren't very authentic.

Apollo 14 - 4" - Lion Brothers

The Lion Brother's Apollo 14 patch, like many others, closely resembles the crew version and is a better rendition than the A-B Emblem issue.

It is a cloth-backed patch. This is the first Lion Brother patch with a hidden hallmark and it is very difficult to make out, it is sewn with a single width of thread.

Collected as a set with other 3" Mercury and Gemini patches. This set of patches, while at first glance appear to be regular A-B Emblem 3" souvenir versions, actually have some distinct oddities that set them apart.

Apollo 14 - 3" - Cape Kennedy Medals

Fully embroidered, unique for a 3" version. Very thick stitching in the trail for the astronaut symbol. Overall, good detail for this size.  Rust colored "Apollo 14" and border.

This patch was collected in a set of other 3" patches, also dissimilar from "original" A-B Emblem issues.

I am going to tag this collection with the "apollounk2" tag. Leading candidate is Cape Kennedy Medals based on the Apollo 17 patch in this set being a CKM patch.
