Lion Brothers produced a subset of 3" patches that comemmorate several aspects of the Apollo 11 launch. 
This one is for the "Recovery Fleet". 

This patch varies from the common STS-1 patch as it has three colors of thread used in the flame of the shuttle. Scarce patch.
The Lion Brothers' version is readily identifiable by the two blue patches on the wings rather than a flag and "USA".
This version has a plastic backing instead of the more common cloth backing.

STS-3 was NASA's third Space Shuttle mission, and was the third mission for the Space Shuttle Columbia. It launched on 22 March 1982, and landed eight days later on 30 March. STS-3 was the first shuttle launch with an unpainted external tank, and the only mission to land at the White Sands Space Harbor near Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Once again, LionBrothers version of the patch exceeds the quality of the more common A-B Emblem souvenir version. Their trademark hallmark appears as an upside down "17" on the bottom of Apollo's neck. White thread used on the Eagle with a bare cloth back. The light blue border is more faithful to the original, though they used a more appealing radial border. 

The Lion Brother's Apollo 14 patch, like many others, closely resembles the crew version and is a better rendition than the A-B Emblem issue. 

It is a cloth-backed patch. This is the first Lion Brother patch with a hidden hallmark and it is very difficult to make out, it is sewn with a single width of thread. 

A slightly more rare version of the regular Apollo 11 Lion Brothers issue that has an orange border (as well as beak and feet).  Appears on eBay about twice a month, sometimes hard to differentiate due to the camera and lighting used to photograph it.

The Lion Brother's 4" Apollo 11 patch has nice detail compared to the A-B version.  A gold-bordered version exists and is a bit more scarce. 

Lion Brothers version of the STS-3 patch. The 3 color rays set this patch apart from the rest as well as the distinct blue nose of the orbiter.

Cloth is bare thread.

4", plastic back

Red and Blue star sections touch the border in this version.

Lion Brother's 4" version features "ASTP" hallmarked in the clouds and a cloth back.

Lion Brothers version. One of the most highly-sought LB patches. Easily recognized by the larger "USA" on the wing as well as cloth back.

Less common than the regular Lion Brothers issue, this features a purple twill background.

Similar to the A-B version but can be identified by the two colors of shading on the right side of the earth.

The yellow border is a Lion Brothers variation of the typical black-bordered version.

This is the Lions Brothers hallmarked patch for Apollo 16. It features a hidden '16' stitched upside down below the point of the flying vector.

This patch bears the crew initials between the solar arrays above "Weitz"

This is the hallmarked patch for Apollo 13. The Lions Brothers hid a "13" in the mane of the foremost stallion.

This is a Lions Brothers' hallmarked patch for Skylab I. The initials of the crew can be found hidden on the right side.

This patch was made by the Lions Brothers and has their trademark hidden initials. The hidden '15' can be found near the bottom.
