Physics of Hard Spheres Experiment (PHASE)

The Physics of Hard Spheres Experiment (PHaSE) is a NASA Lewis Research Center fluid physics space flight experiment whose purpose is to investigate the behavior and physical properties of a colloidal dispersion of hard spheres. The Microgravity Science Division of the NASA Lewis Research Center has the responsibility of implementing the PHaSE space flight experiment. Onboard STS-94 and STS-83 MSL-1.

2 Phase Flow (TPF), Space Station Advanced Development

The Two Phase Flow (TPF) experiment characterized microgravity operations and
demonstrated reliability of a capillary pumped loop (CPL) containing multiple
evaporators. CPL's are being developed at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and
are the next major thermal control innovation since heat pipes.
