This 3" version of the STS-51C was manufactured by Swissartex Emblem Inc. with a waxy matt plastic coated backing. (I have this exact patch in a sealed Swissartex / KSC packet). Swissartex also manufactured the full size 4" versions very simular in design with a waxy plastic coated backing & a shiny vacuum sealed backing. The later modern ones with a shiny plastic coated backing were manufactured by Eagle Crest Emblem Inc. in Taiwan.
