Fuwatto '92, also known as the First Material Processing Test (FMPT) was NASDA's
first full-space participation mission to seek answers to these and other questions in
probing the secrets of this unknown frontier. This ambitious space program consisted
of 34 experiments in material processing and life science during a seven-day mission
aboard the U.S. Space Shuttle Endeavour (STS-47).
