The Cryogenic On-Orbit Long-Life Active Refrigerator (COOLLAR) Flight
Experiment will attempt to cool a simulated sensor surface to 65 degrees K to test the operation of an
engineering development model of a cryogenic cooler. Operation of the cooler in a zero-G
environment after being subjected to a launch environment will be assessed and the ability of the
cooler to maintain the desired interface temperature stability through the expected load
profiles will be demonstrated.
